Helping Hands

Helping Hands matches volunteers with homebound, isolated seniors and people with disabilities for companionship and support. The goal is to help people continue to live independently as long as possible.

Services may include:

  • Friendly visits:  offering companionship to clients in their homes.     Volunteers and seniors decide what their visits will look like and many include activities such as board and card games, discussions of current events, reading the newspaper aloud and enjoying good conversation.
  • Telephone reassurance:  calling clients on a regular basis to establish a caring relationship and provide support.
