Musical Helping Hands

Musical Helping Hands is the newest program developed by JFS.  This program, funded by a New Initiative Grant from the Jewish Federation, matches Jewish musicians with Jewish seniors who live with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.  The program facilitates customized one-on-one visits in which the musician plays for the senior.  Song requests have run the gamut, from Broadway show tunes to country music, but one thing that remains constant is that seniors, their families, and the musicians have all been touched by Musical Helping Hands.
