Choosing adoption takes courage, compassion, and lots of love. We're here for guidance and support.

We commend birth parents for making such a difficult, emotional decision. We are honored to have the opportunity to provide counseling to our birth parents, either as a couple, individually, or both. With over 40 years of experience in child welfare services, we serve our clients as educators, allies, and guides.

How We Serve

Considering an adoption plan?

We never judge, as every situation and every individual is so very different. Also, because we do not discriminate with regard to religious affiliation, race, ability, orientation, or gender identity, we are happy to counsel anyone contemplating placing their child for adoption. Please know that Jewish Family Service is a place of comfort, compassion, and confidentiality, as well as a place of strength and knowledge.
Are adoptions services available to everyone?

Yes! While some of our other programs are available to only those of the Jewish faith, our Nashville adoption services are available to the entire community.

How do I get started?

How will you keep my information private?

All communications with JFS are confidential and all employees must sign confidentiality agreements. Written records are kept in locked files. Although our offices are located within the Gordon Jewish Community Center, the entrance to our offices are in the back of the building with a private entrance and fully confidential.

Do you charge fees for service?

 Adoption is a fee for service program.  Contact us for more details.
